Ralph DeSio Obituary
Ralph A. DeSio, 93, of Fairfield, the beloved husband of the late Pauline DeSio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn to the late Artie and Lena (Scalise) DeSio. Ralph served honorably as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Ralph is survived by his loving children, Darlene DeLibro and her husband Gary, Ralph A. DeSio, Jr. and his wife Christie, Thomas DeSio and his wife Jane, and Mary Ellen Moody and her husband David. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Paulena, Nicole, Amanda, Peter, Jason, Victoria and Dylan; six great-grandchildren and his longtime companion, Edna Mae Clarke. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Palma Senatore, Jeannie Verardi and Marguerite "Sis" Tedesco.
Ralph's family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care provided to him by the staff at Mozaic Senior Life, especially the nurses and aides in Sims House.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield. Friends and family are invited to meet directly at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Rd. in Fairfield on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. for a graveside service with full Military Honors.
