Donna. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed but the beautiful memories of your dad will last a life time. So glad he got to see Jonathan in his uniform. The hand holding is a special treasure for sure. Sending hugs and prayers to all of you at this time. May his kind soul and love remain in your hearts forever.

I grew up in Fairfield and would go to the A& P on Tunxis Hill every day with my mother. Mr. Doherty was the manager, Rose M.and her sister Grace worked in the office. Ann Chedister and Debbie Makusavitch,Rose D., Maureen & Annie were at the register. Frank P.,Bill J & Sammie , Ed, Joey & Glen worked in grocery. When I turned 16, Grace asked me if I wanted to work at the
A & P....The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea company . I spent the next 23 years working with great people who I still call friends. While I did not work directly for Mr. Doherty, I remember him coming back to visit and everyone was so happy to see him. He was always smiling and so kind. May all your wonderful memories comfort you during this difficult time.
