Richard Brice Obituary

Brice, Richard E.
Richard Edward Brice, age 71, passed away peacefully at his Fairfield home on Saturday, December 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bridgeport on March 5, 1945 to the late William Brice, Sr. and Madeline Treffry Brice. Richard formerly resided in Arizona. In his earlier years, he was employed as a carpet installer and later made a living out of driving 18 wheeler tractor trailers. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and visiting casinos, and had a fascination with model ships. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald William Brice, and two sisters, Patricia Suhay and Florence Messina. Survivors include a son William Brice; daughters, Sharlynn Brice and Crystal Bianchini; a brother, William Brice, Jr.; brother-in-law, Joseph Suhay; seven grandchildren; several extended family members here in CT, and a special niece, Lori Alterio, who was his loving caregiver throughout his illness. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, 7 p.m. at the Huntington Chapel in Shelton, 177 Ripton Road. Arrangements are in the care of County Cremation Service of Fairfield.
