Richard Keiser Obituary

KEISER Richard F. Keiser Sr., age 70, of Shelton, Beloved husband of Barbara Devon Cornell Keiser, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, after a long illness. Born in Bridgeport, Mr. Keiser was a Fairfield town resident before moving to Shelton 20 years ago. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Keiser was the retired owner of the R.F.K. Trucking Co. Richard enjoyed gardening, trucks and especially his red Corvette. In addition to his wife Barbara, who he shared 23 wonderful years with, Mr. Keiser is survived by his brothers, Albert Keiser and his wife, Kathleen, of Southbury and Thomas Keiser and his wife, Ann Day, of Fairfield; sisters, Kathryn Victoria and her husband, Albert, of Southbury and Jayne Keiser of Fairfield; four children, Richard, Barbara, Diane and Raymond; a brother-in-law, William R. Devon and his wife, Kathy, of Wethersfield, Vt.; several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He leaves behind wonderful neighbors, Dolores Mastri, Andy Mastronardi and Betty Varrone who were always there to help. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center and at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield, with burial to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with full military honors. Calling hours will be held on Friday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. Richard's family gives many thanks to to the staff of St. Vincent"s Medical Center and to Dr. Benjamin Weisman for their care during this difficult time. Memorial donations may be made to the Swim Across the Sound Foundation, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT. 06606 or to Holy Family Church.
