Richard (Dick) D Keiser, Jr, 75, of Fremont, OH passed away at Memorial Hospital on March 7, 2026. He was born in Fremont, OH to Richard Sr and Lois (Kemerley) Keiser. Dick was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He went on to serve in the US Navy from 1971 to 1980 receiving the Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal, and Joint Services Commendation Medal.
He enjoyed riding his bicycles and most recently his e-Trike. Dick was proud of the ‘73 Mustang that he bought from his cousin and then had restored. Taking it to car shows and parades in the area was a highlight of his days. Over the years he enjoyed traveling. He never met a stranger and always had stories to tell about his adventures. He always gave everyone a helping hand when needed. Dick was very proud of his grandsons and would share pictures and stories of their accomplishments and adventures.
After his retirement from the Post Office as a Rural Mail Carrier, he lasted 38 days before getting a part time job with Fastenal.
Dick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann (Horn) Keiser, Fremont, OH; son, Eric (Kelly) Keiser, Irwin, PA; 3 grandsons Justin, Sean, and Isaac, all of Irwin; nieces, Heather (Sean) Moir, Elmore, OH, Melissa (Henry) Dwight, Crown Point, IN, sister-in-law, Ellen (Naderer) Horn, Fremont, OH; and one great niece and 3 great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
Per Dick’s wishes no Memorial Service will be held. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
Memorials can be made in Dick’s honor to the Hayes Presidential Center or Fremont Ross Alumni & Friends Association.
