Richard H. Novack, Sr., age 75, beloved husband of Sandra Zeffiro Novack, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. Born in Bridgeport on March 24, 1947, he was a son of the late Henry and Agnes Lorenz Novack and was a longtime resident of Shelton. Rich inspired family and friends with a love of laughter and an appreciation for life's simple joys. To his family he was always there when needed. To his children, he was an inspiration. To his friends, he was one of a kind. He worked at the U. S. Postal Service for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed listening to and performing music, walking with his wife, and visiting the beach. He practiced a devout faith in God. In addition to his beloved wife Sandra of 51 years, survivors include two loving sons, Richard H. Novack, Jr. and his wife Jessica Giorgi of Orange, and Mark G. Novack and his wife Anita Pallares of Shelton, two sisters, Barbara Guarino of Shelton and Joann Small of Beacon Falls, and two cherished grandchildren, Emerson and Weston Novack, as well as a sister-in-law, Marilyn Butanowicz and brother-in-law Peter Butanowicz of Milford, nephew Ryan Butanowicz and his wife Jessica Butanowicz, and nephews Allen Turlis and Matt Small.
All are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
