I find it difficult to sum up my feelings for my dad in a few sentences, but I will try. First of all, he was a good man and a good father. He taught me many things about life and prepared me for many more. He enjoyed his life especially, golfing with his friends and family. Then at the end of the day, exchanging stories over a beer and laughing. He really liked to laugh. He always had a great sense of humor. What he really liked most was being with his family. It was always special when we would make some excuse to get out of the house during a visit and find somewhere to sit and talk over a bottle of beer and try to solve the world's problems. I know that he always tried to make each of us feel special and he always looked forward to the next visit with one of his kids.
He also had a great love for his wife Dee. They were married for over 37 years. I always new they loved each other, but I did not know how much until I watched her literally stand by his side, every day for the last two years of his life making sure that he was given the proper care. She made me realize what the words "for better or worse, in sickness and health" really mean.
Dee (Mom), I will never forget what you did and you will always be in my prayers.
Dad, you are loved and will be missed by many.
We all love you,
Steve

My Dad loved life. When we, my two brothers and my sister were young he used to take us bowling, out to eat, to the movies he got me into baseball, and took me camping for the first time. Although seperated alot growing up my Dad gave us many good memories and always loved us. As my sister said we missed him alot and loved him deeply. My prayers are with all who feel the loss. It is hard to believe at times but he is with God now. May God take care of him and us. Love to all in the circle of his family and friends. Especially to his loving wife who took such good care of him most of his life and through the toughest part of his life. Thanks Mum your a great lady.
