Robert E. Bazata, age 73, beloved husband of Katharine Borona Bazata of Huntington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at home with his devoted wife by his side. Born in Bridgeport on June 4, 1942, he was a son of the late James and Mary Krekoska Bazata. Bob operated K&B Tax Service for 42 years and before his retirement he was a credit and collection manager at American Chain and Cable. He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep and Fairfield University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He was an avid professional football fan and during the season Sunday was his day. He was also passionate about his tax business and was devoted to his clients. He was a simple, good man who enjoyed life and treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandkids. In addition to his wife Katharine of 40 years, he leaves a daughter, Ann Marie French and her husband Austin of Orange, a son, Robert J. Bazata and his wife Christine of New Canaan, four grandchildren, Austin French III, Sarah, Julia and Tae Bazata, two sisters, Sr. Mary Ann Bazata, SSND of Port Jefferson, NY, Anita Cadella of Wallingford and a sister-in-law, Judith Bazata of Bradenton, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James Bazata. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
