Robert Della Donna Memoriam

IN LOVING MEMORY Robert "Bobby" Della Donna It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Robert "Bobby" Della Donna on August 24, 2025 at the age of 75. "Bobby" served the Town of Trumbull for 41 years as a maintenance supervisor for the public works department and also as a "Special" part-time police officer. Bob proudly served his country in the US Army. At his request, all services were private. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

As he moved his "road show" from the different Trumbull gas stations over 35 or 40 years I would periodically stop and say hi which invariably turned into over an hour and cost me money in lottery tickets. I think we split $2.00 once. Bobby knew a lot about everything and everyone so there were never any dull moments. I remember the car he had with the record player in the dashboard. I´ll buy a box of powered sugar Entenmann´s doughnuts in his honor but won´t eat the whole box in one sitting as I watched him do at Big Y over lunch one day.

Bob was our next door neighbor for many years in Shelton. He was a good person to have around, he was always very helpful and as a Trumbull PD Officer made us feel that much safer. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.
