Robert Fox Obituary
EAST HAVEN and SEYMOUR, CT: Lt. Robert J. Fox, age 75 of East Haven, former longtime Seymour resident entered peaceful rest on July 23, 2016 at his home; he was the beloved husband of Brenda (Sampieri) Fox. Mr. Fox was born on June 11, 1941 in Derby, son of the late George and Blanche (Harte) Fox. He was a retired Police Lieutenant from the Seymour Police Department. Robert also was a volunteer firefighter with Citizens Engine Co. #2. Robert also had a love of hunting.
His son Robert J. Fox, Jr. predeceased him. Besides his wife, Robert leaves his loving family including his daughters, Leanne R. Fox of Seymour, Dianna Taraskewich (Michael) of Beacon Falls, and Bonnie Balko of Derby, his step-sons, Jason and Brendan Sampieri both of East Haven, and step-daughters, Kristy Sampieri of New Haven, Shannon Sampieri of Niantic, and Kathleen Martin of Oxford, his grandchildren, Blaize, Rachel, Michael, and Kyle, and great grandchildren, Avery and Caiden.
Calling Hours are Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Funeral Services in celebration of his life will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, to the Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, 104 Mountain Rd. at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
