Kaechele, Robert H.
Robert Hass Kaechele, age 83 of Trumbull passed away on Monday December 29, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Henry and Gretchen Hass Kaechele. Robert was a proud veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army and was a machinist with Progress Manufacturing in Bridgeport until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and photography, but most of all he loved spending time with his family who survive him. His beloved wife of 62 years, Joan Wheeler Kaechele, his devoted children; James Kaechele and his wife Soy of Shelton and daughter Denise Kaechele of Shelton, a brother Alan Kaechele of California, five loving grandchildren; James Kaechele, Sarah Reilly and her husband J.R., Lauren Kaechele, Peter Gemza and his wife Rebekah, Thomas Gemza and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday December 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford with Rev. Edward Duffy, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield officiating. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home prior to services.
