Robert LeVine Obituary

LEVINE Robert F. LeVine of Shelton, died Sunday of heart failure. He was 50 years old. Bob, also known as "Robbie," was a devoted Connecticut boy, having lived in Bridgeport and then in Trumbull all his life. He will be remembered for his contagious smile and his genuine appreciation of others. "Bob had that warmth and friendship you don't often see in the business world," said Peter Geiger, vice-president of Geiger Brothers, whose promotional company was affiliated with Bob for 15 years. "He loved people and he loved relationships and we will miss him terribly." President of AD Marketing, a specialty advertising firm serving clients around the country, Bob worked for more than 20 years, side by side, with his father, David J. LeVine, founder and former president of the company. At his funeral last Tuesday, Rabbi Jerome Wallin of Trumbull shared memories of Bob's wonderful sense of humor and caring nature. A close friend recalled that what was remarkable about him was his compassion for other people. "He was a great human being," she said, "-a sweet, kind, gentle man who just wanted to love and be loved." Bob LeVine is survived by his parents, Rosalie and David LeVine; his children, Matthew LeVine and Alexandra LeVine; and by his siblings, Jeffrey, Marilyn and Mark. His sister, Adrienne died of cancer in 1963. Bob and Adrienne are buried at the Rodeph Sholom cemetery in Fairfield.

I'm lost for words.
I only learned of Bob's passing this morning.

I offer my sincere condolences to Bob's Mom & Dad, and his sibblings.
Especially to his sweet Ali and Matthew, and to Debbie, their Mother.

What a beautiful legacy Bob has left behind. The children always impressed me. Ali was very dear to me because I had the pleasure of being her day care provider. I remember bringing my grand daughters picture into Calloway House, and Bob asked how I got Ali's picture! Ali & Kelly looked amazingly alike:-) I pray that Ali & Matthew will be strong and understand that their Father loved them very much. This I know without a doubt.

Peace & Prayers to all of you.....I simply can't believe this has happened.

12/20/06 -- Dear David & Rosealie:
Sheila and I were sorry to learn of your loss. We would have delivered our condolences to you personally had we learned of this passing while we were in CT, however, we left for FL for a short vacation before hearing of your son's death. The loss of a child and, in this case, a business associate who you share every day with is extremely tragic. We're sure that you have many happy memories of his life that, in time, will sustain you in your loss.

To the family of Bob LeVine:

As a classmate of Bob from Jr. High through college, I was very sorry to learn of his passing.

Based on what I have read fom others, it's comforting to learn that Bob lived life in his adult years the same as he had in his youth - with kindness, sensitivity, and compassion for others.

Bob and I sat next to one another in band from 1970 through 1974. He was an exceptional musician, posessed a dry sense of humor, and always had a smile.

Bob was a very dedicated classmate having served the Class of 74 in a variety of activities from working on class floats to helping us coordinate the "free prom."

At our 25th reunion in 1999, Bob and I had the opportunity to reflect back on many great stories/memories of our years in Trumbull and at UB. I'm sorry that I will not be able to share them with him again, but he will live on as long as we share those memories with others.

You have my deepest sympathy.

Deb, Ali & Matthew - Our hearts break for your loss. Bob was a wonderful husband and loving father. He cherished and loved the 3 of you - please don't ever forget it. You meant more to him than anyone or anything - ever. The years you spent together as a family were the best years of his life. When your pain subsides, may the wonderful memories of him bring you peace and make you smile.
