Robert McLeod Obituary

MCLEOD Robert N. McLeod, age 64, of Danbury, a devoted husband and father, died on Monday, August 6, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Janet (Miller) McLeod. Robert was born in Bridgeport, February 6, 1943, the son of the late Oliver and Elsie (Stirk) McLeod. He was raised and educated in the Milford and Easton areas, and later received his certification from the Silver Mine College of Art, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Bridgeport, and his Master of Fine Arts degree from Boston University. Robert was a graphic artist, retiring several years ago. He held a keen interest in geneology, tracing he and his wife Janet's family histories back to the 1600's. He had been a resident of Danbury for over 30 years. In addition to his wife of 38 years, Robert is survived by his two sons, Rick McLeod and his wife Amy of Newtown, and Clint McLeod and his wife Karen of Southbury; two grandchildren: Ainsley and Caden McLeod; many cousins, friends and the family dog "Ernie" Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday August 9, at the Danbury United Methodist Church, Clapboard Ridge Road at 2:00pm, with the Rev. Terry Pfeiffer officiating. nterment will be private. The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Wednesday evening from 5 thru 8 p.m. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to Regional Hospice of Western CT 405 Main St., Danbury Ct 06810, or to the Danbury Hospital Development Fund, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury CT 06810

Janet, Rick, and Clint:
Betty and I thank you for letting us be a part of Bob's final celebration. He was my oldest and dearest friend and I miss him terribly. His weekly e-mails aways brought a smile to my face. Please come for a visit.
