"B-b-b-b-bad Bob" was our nickname for him. He was so much fun, full of hilarious stories, insisted on dining at the bar, was "King of the table" playing pool at Toad´s Place, cooked 6 pancakes with a whole stick of butter, full of life and surprises, high IQ, and a loss to the world. I am so sorry to learn he has gone. He loved his family very much and was proud of you all.

Gary and Maureen- Your words are touching, thoughtful, and truthful. I do think "subtle" is an understatement. One of the things i admired most was that he called it the way he saw it. Over the past several years I spoke with him almost daily and we had a lot of laughs. In light of what he was dealing with his attitude was nothing less than admirable. You and Maureen were his lighthouse. No brother or sister in law could have done more for him.

I was so sorry to hear the news about Bob
Bob and I met at UConn in the 60's and became fast friends and have been ever since
some of our adventures included:
when we got snowed in one UConn winter and our cook Kay was not able to come in, we sent fraternity brothers out in the storm for supplies and beer and I functioned as his sous chef while he made pasta and red sauce
we saw the Rolling Stones at MSG in 1969; the Rod Stewart and Ron Wood version of the Faces open for Mountain at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester along with many other bands over time
he was the best golfer I had the pleasure of playing the game with in CT and CA; there's the great story of Bob flying to LA to meet me; we then went to San Jose and played there; and then stayed for a long weekend when the Inn at Spanish Bay opened and played Pebble Beach, but, unfortunately, he got so sunburned, he was unable to play Spyglass; I won't go into details but he was allowed back on a plane to fly home
Bob was unique
I'm glad to have known him as a friend and I'll always remember him with a smile
