Robert Nolfi Obituary

Robert Nolfi
Robert Alan Nolfi, age 73, son of the late Frank and Mary (Agriesto) Nolfi, died Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was a longtime Fairfield resident, most recently residing in Southbury. Bob faithfully served the Town of Fairfield as a member of the Fairfield Police Department for 23 years, retiring from the Detective Bureau in 1999. He was a movie buff and was able to fulfill his passion for acting by participating in seasonal productions at the Heritage Village Theater in Southbury. Bob also starred in the 1985 horror film, "Attack of the Beast Creatures", some of which was filmed in Fairfield at Lake Mohegan. He loved all kinds of music, especially Soul and Classic Rock, and by exposing his sons to the music of his day they came to have a true appreciation for it as they matured. His sons have fond memories listening to Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes and Magical Mystery Tour by The Beatles with their father. Bob also took great pleasure in attending sporting events with the boys, both professional and local, including Bluefish games. He was a great fan of the New York Mets and loved watching the team alongside his companion Edie. His sons recount a cherished memory of going to see a Mets game together with their father. He is survived by sons, Taylor R. Nolfi of Queens, NY and Austin M. Nolfi of Fairfield, and their mother Connie Saxl of Fairfield; a brother Richard Nolfi and his wife Cathy of Fairfield; sister in law Sherrin Nolfi of Goshen; nephew Robert Nolfi; niece Kristen Nolfi; cousin Arlene Agriesto, and his companion, Edie Gilmore of Southbury. He was also predeceased by a brother, Francis L. Nolfi and nephew, Richard Nolfi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road in Fairfield. Burial will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the FAIRFIELD FUNERAL HOME of EDMUND W. DOUGIELLO, 36 South Pine Creek Road.
