I appreciate the reminder of Skok´s passing. I have had occasion this week to remember the time we spent on the Housatonic, and remember fondly. I hope the intervening years have been kind to his loved ones.

I come late to the sad realization that Skok is gone. He and Peggy have always been very warm and inclusive toward Myra and I. We shared a love of music and historic architecture. We will miss his conversations and good humor.

I grew up with Skok, was his neighbour and went to High School with him. He was always talented and smart. I particularly remember Latin class with Mrs. Dobbins. Right from an early age he talked of being a lawyer and he was gentle and brilliant. I was so sorry to lose touch with Skok and his sisters who have meant so much to me. Bridget, Mindy, Rebecca and I played together a lot as children. -along with my sister Carol- We spent lots of time together. Skok was a great baseball player, too. We played in our back yard. I have always been especially fond of Bridget. We shared a Uni High experience along with 4-H, camp and many, many hours talking and in friendship. Mindy, Rebecca, Bridget - I treasure our times together and friendship. Peggy - and family - and friends - I share in your grief and send my fondest condolences and hugs! Thinking of you all - near to my heart - including Skok of course! I would welcome any contact.

I am saddened to hear of Skok's passing and remember well his calm demeanor while co(a)xing us through rough waters. His bio is wonderful.

Skok played a leading role in captaining the Yale heavyweight crew under quite difficult circumstances - for both the crew and for Yale - in the late '60s, but my fondest memories since then are of Skok and Peggy lighting up the dance floor with wild abandon at reunions over the past half century. A life very well lived, and lost far too soon. RIP, Skok, and Peggy, my deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I was captain of the lightweight crew when Skok was captain of the heavies. I have vivid memories of racing between heavies and lights in the fall and early spring, and of the occasional soccer match in the fall. It was a tumultuous time for Yale rowing and Yale in general. I find it very comforting to read that he had a full life that found so many outlets for his talents and his pleasant disposition. Please accept my condolences.

Skok was a great guy, a straight arrow, but with a hilarious sense of humor at times. What a loss!

I have known Skok and Peggy since 1973 when they helped make my stay in Saybrook College a key part of my life.
Tracey Nelson / Mother Earth - "Seven Bridges Road", "Temptation" and many other songs were joyously sung and I didn't miss a Yale game with them during my time there...
We have kept up with them since then through their fanatastic hospitality to me and my family in Stratford and we had the chance of showing them something of Brittany during one Summer.
It seems such a little time since I took photos at their wedding in Dwight Chapel and I will always remember Skok for his kindness and wisdom in all the conversations I had with him over the years.

Skok and Peggy are great friends and offered their home and company when I was at Yale and on many reunions and trips back to New Haven. Skok loved Yale football and, at the 2014 reunion on a gorgeous Saturday, Skok said he was going to the Yale football game that afternoon and skipping the presentation by Justices Sotomayor and Thomas. I paused for only a second and then asked Skok if he had an extra ticket. While it later horrified some of my YLS classmates that I went to a Yale football game over two Supreme Court justices, Skok and I had a great time and watched Yale defeat Penn. It was a great afternoon that, like Skok and Peggy, I will always treasure.
