Rose Grosso Obituary

Grosso, Rose Marie
Rose Marie Camerato Grosso, age 95, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Grosso. Born in Bridgeport on June 25, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Piscopo Camerato. A graduate of Central High School and the Bridgeport Hair Dressing School, she was later employed by Helen's Beauty Shop of Norwalk for many years before her retirement. An avid gardener, she had a true "green thumb" and took great pride in the care of her roses. She found great enjoyment cooking for her family and friends and was also quite skilled at sewing. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, who cared deeply for her family, always putting their needs before her own. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving children, Ronald Grosso and his wife Margherita and Elaine Eye and her husband John, her cherished grandchildren, Lisa DeFelice and her husband Tom, Stephen Grosso and his wife Tamara, Jennifer Eye and Michael Eye, her ten great grandchildren, Rocco, Anthony, Irene, Giuliana, Lia, Tommy, Joseph, Tanner, Isabella and Olivia. In addition to her husband Joseph, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Mary Coviello and Madeline Camerato, and a grandson, Joseph Grosso.
Friends may greet the family on Saturday, May 28, 2016, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
