S. Robert Bilotti

BILOTTI S. Robert Bilotti, age 79, beloved and devoted husband of Gladys Dugay Bilotti, of Ansonia, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the Griffin Hospital in Derby. Mr. Bilotti was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on July 22, 1927, son of the late Michael Bilotti and Caroline Pumilia Tangredi. A resident of Ansonia since 1958, he was employed as a truck driver being a member of Teamsters Local 191 where he retired from Red Star Express Lines formerly of Fairfield. He was a veteran of the US Army, having honorably served during World War II. He was a participant of pigeon racing and a member of the Valley Pigeon Club and also was a Mason. Besides his wife Gladys, he is survived by three sons, Michael Bilotti and his wife, Patty, of West Haven, Barry Bilotti and his wife, Trisha, of Naugatuck, and Robert Bilotti and his wife, Ann, of Ansonia; a daughter, Carol Carney and her husband, Rick of Meriden; two sisters, Evelyn Gaetano of North Haven, and Lucille Tendler of Bergenfield, N.J.; three grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, and Nicholas Bilotti and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday February 28, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. from the Spinelli-Malerba-Ricciuti, 62 Beaver Street, in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Spinelli-Malerba-Ricciuti FH.
