Sally A. Wargo

WARGO Sally A. Wargo, age 72, of Fairfield, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2006 in Cape Cod, Mass. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ann (Hannon) White, she had been an area resident for most of her life. As a young woman, Sally was employed as a stewardess for United Airlines, a position she truly enjoyed. She would often reminisce about all the places she traveled and all the famous people she met. Her employment history included working in the Fundraising Office at Bridgeport Hospital, office manager for William Raveis Real Estate in Fairfield, and most recently as receptionist for Dr. Peter Tortora. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Fairfield where she participated for many years in the Prayer Line. Survivors include two children, Kimberly Varga and her husband, Bill, of Cotuit, Mass., and Jay Wargo of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Sean Varga, and Garrett and Meredith Wargo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 10 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Church 834 Brookside Dr., Fairfield. Interment will be announced. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield.
