To the Collins Family, I sent my condolences on April 2nd. My name is Carolyn Gates from Oklahoma City, I would have loved to have Stephanie as my daughter-in-law. To the mother & sisters & daughter, of Stephanie she was my Pride & Joy and she was so, so, sweet. I first met Stephanie in 2006 when she came to Oklahoma City to visit my son Alan Davis. I have pictures of her in my home and I will always keep them, like I said she was my Joy and I loved her.To the family, you have my deepest sympathyand, may God bless you'll and you'll are in my prayers! I was shocked when I got the news of Stephanie passing. I still can't beleive she is gone. I feel like a loss a close family member and indeed I did. Stephanie was an inspiration and a heart of gold.Please accept my sincere condolences on your recent loss. Stephanie was a wonderful person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Family and friends are here to encourage you,comfort you and be a shoulder to lean on, but only God can heal your broken heart. I send this prayer to you as I have prayed it when I lost my Love one: Lord, Lord, hear my prayers.,Be with me and hold me gently in my grief. Give me the strength to withstand this pain. I remember the last time I seen you, we were at a birthday party, it had been so long since I seen people from the old neighborhood but when I seen Flo, Chip, Champ, Ronnie and you it was like old times in Bldg. 12; if only I knew it would be the last time. Over the years I have heard of your many accomplishments, it made me feel good that you became a woman that most admired including me.
Mrs. Shoon, Wanda, Rodney and Terra I feel your lost and hope that you can find comfort in God’s grace.
Tai-Riesha your mother was awesome and I can only imagine that she was your best friend. I know there are no words of comfort that I can say that will make the pain go away, but know Stephie is in a better place and will always be there looking down on you; your mother is gone but she will never be forgotten.

You have my deepest sympathy, but it really doesn't help. Your grief goes beyond what word can express.
There's nothing anyone can say, and nothing we can do to heal your broken heart or take away your pain.

Stephanie was a beautiful person, I remember when I was little and Steph, my cousin Lisa, and Flo would babysit me and my cousin Crystal. Im really going to miss her. She was also a part of our family.

I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie at St. Vincent's shortly after she graduated. She was an outstanding nurse who wanted to better herself and the life of her beloved daughter. I fondly remember running into Stephanie in Newtown where she had just taken on the job at Garner while going to school, she had just bought her own house and had a beautiful car, but she was most proud of what she was doing for her future.
She was true inspiration who will be sadly missed, as she touched many hearts and left a lasting impression.

My memories of Stephanie are when we went to high school together at Bullard Havens. Stephanie, Portia and I were inseperable in our fashion design class. In reading all of the wonderful things people have said and all the things she accomplished in life I can see Stephanie's life was well lived. God was certainly pleased with her. Stephanie was the sweetest person i've ever met. I met Stephanie back in 1985 or 1986 when we were going to CPI. she was a beautiful person inside and out.Always had a positive attitude. I'm so happy she accomplished so much in her 41 years of life here on earth, now she is in the Masters hand to finish in heaven. I had the priveledge of knowing Ms Collins. She was an inspiration to all her students. She was full of life and saw the goodness in people. She was passionate about nursing, teaching and it truely showed. I knew her for only 5 weeks, and was blessed to have met her. she had the confidence to make you believe that you WOULD make your dreams come true, even if you didn't quite believe it yourself. I had the privilege of meeting Stephanie's daughter and one of her foster children. My heart does out to the family for your loss. She gave to everyone she met and left a piece of her heart and soul after she departed...especially with me....I hired Stephanie at GateWay Community College about seven months ago. We could have talked forever as our lives had so much in common including her belief in God. I look forward to seeing her again in another place.

I only had the honor of meeting Stephanie a few times. She was my clinical instructor in nursing school for a short 3 day rotation. During that time, I have to say that she was a shining light and an amazingly upbeat person. I am only sorry to say that I didn't have the opportunity to know her better. She spoke so highly of her family and friends that I instantly knew she must be truly blessed and that they must return that love and admiration. The lord be with you Stephanie. You will be missed.

My memories of Stephanie will always be the best. I met Stephanie when she first moved to Arizona in 2005. We worked together at Arizona State Hospital. Stephanie was a hard worker. She loved her job as Registered Nurse and accomplished her goals. She obtained a double Master Degree, a Master in Science of Nursing and the second degree was a Master in Health Administation. My girl was nothing nice. If there was anything Stephanie wanted, she did what she needed to do to get it. Stephanie was a classy woman. When I say this, I mean not only did she dress nice and purchase only the finest things, she spoke well also and was a very confident woman. She was so confident, she even took on the challenge of taking care of other peoples kids. Yes she was foster mother and a good one too. My friend Stephanie was a true inspiration to alot of people including myself. I cannot say enough about Stephanie. May she rest in peace. Love Always Priscilla.
