Stephen Sullivan Obituary
Stephen F. Sullivan, age 66, of Black Rock, formerly of Fairfield and Easton, beloved husband and lifelong best friend of Susan (Cave) Sullivan, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side Monday, August 7, 2023. Born in Yonkers, the son of the late Eugene Sullivan and Dyan Kinderman Sullivan, Steve and his brothers would summer at Fairfield Beach as young boys prior to moving to Fairfield. He was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas grammar School and Roger Ludlowe High School. He was a co-owner with his brother Ken of the Sullivan Construction Company in Fairfield. Steve was a basketball coach for the boys and girls teams at St. Thomas School for many years. He served as the President of the Bridgeport Police Commission. Steve was a member of the National Association of Naval Veterans (Port 5), The Fairfield Elks, the SS Norden Club and the East End Yacht Club. He was an avid boater, loved spending time at the beach, playing golf with his friends and horses. Steve defined the meaning of friendship. He touched the lives of so many people. He was generous, giving, compassionate and kind, who was always willing to help anyone who needed it. In addition to his loving wife, Sue, he will be sadly missed by his cherished daughter, Shaye G. Sullivan of TN; three beloved brothers, Eugene Sullivan and his wife Elise of Shelton, Kenneth Sullivan and his wife Melissa of Black Rock and Frank Sullivan and his wife Stacey of Fairfield; he was an adoring uncle to Michael Sullivan and his wife Angela, Kellie Sullivan, Ryan Sullivan Zelem and her husband Steve, Krista Sullivan, Kenny Sullivan, Carlee Sullivan Burgdoerfer and her husband Greg, Frank Sullivan, Jr. and Tracey Yahia; two great-nephews, Matteo and Christian; two great-nieces, Kolby and Reilly; and an uncle, Frank Kinderman of Shelton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Steve what's doing, well we got some big projects on the board, I remember him when I was 12 he was 21 running operations out of his dad house on the beach, corner desk. Great view after the Sagamore burnt down. He was ready, and ment business....

Steve was such a carrying and helpful person, we´re still heartbroken about your loss!!! We will miss Steve so much, we loved seeing him and always put a smile on our faces. The dogs loved greeting him at the door and would always put a smile on his face as well!! R.I.p Steve, you were a great person and will be missed!!!
