It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Alan Algarin Jr. on December 24, 2021, age 34, of Bridgeport, CT. He was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by many. Steven's family was unprepared for this unexpected loss. He touched the lives of so many and brought such happiness to those around him.
Steven was born, raised, and lived in Bridgeport, CT. He was passionate about his family, guitars, video games, reading, and writing so many stories in the hopes of being self-published one day. A man of many talents and knowledge who unfortunately lost his battle with Covid-19. Anyone that knew Steven would come to know his gift of conversation, his thirst for knowledge and debate, his laugh and undeniable charm. Not to mention being a huge pain in the ass.
He's survived by his children; Damon Algarin and Luke Algarin, mother, Lisa Savino, brothers; Nicholas Savino, Dylan Algarin, Joshua Algarin, sisters; Ticarra Gause, Stefanie Algarin, Jacqueline Algarin, aunts; Geraldine Savino, Mary Santiago and husband Edwin, and Cheryl Savino, uncles; Louis Savino, Edwin Santiago and Christopher Savino, cousins; Cara Savino and John Tarantino. Preceding him in death was his father, Steven Alan Algarin Sr., brother, Nicholas Aviles, his grandparents; Joan and Louis Savino, and his uncles; Mark and John Savino.
Friends and family are invited to attend walk-though calling hours on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Masks are required and please respect social distancing. Though the expenses have been covered already, any donations are going towards a fund to be divided amongst his 2 sons he unfortunately leaves behind.
