Susan Stevens Griffith

GRIFFITH Susan Stevens Griffith, age 85 of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late F. Richard Griffith. Mrs. Griffith was born in Westbrook, September 12, 1925, daughter of the late Elihu and Grace Stannard Stevens. She was a graduate of Hand High School in Madison, and St. Bonaventure College in Olean, N.Y. She was a former sales associate for the former Read's and Jordan Marsh Department Stores. She is the beloved mother of Richard S. Griffith and his wife, Kathryn, Jeffrey S. Griffith, and his wife, Joan, S. Roderick Griffith and his wife, Pamela, Brian F. Griffith and his wife, RoseAnn, and Roger J. Griffith and his wife, Josephine. She also leaves 10 cherished grandchildren, Shane, Briea, Kristin, Caitlin, Jaclyn, Roderick, Adrienne, James, Christine, and John, and an adorable great-granddaughter, Isabella. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday June 26, 2011 at 1 Sagamore Terrace Westbrook, CT at 1p.m. At the request of her family memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Connecticut Chapter, 306 Industrial Park Road, Suite 107, Middletown, CT 06457.
