Tammara Wadell, 54, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 6, 1970, in Derby, Connecticut, Tammara graduated from Shelton High School and went on to study nursing at St. Vincent's. Before becoming a dedicated registered nurse, she built careers in both hospitality and real estate. Tammara was deeply committed to her work in nursing, where her compassion and care touched many lives. Outside of her career, she enjoyed traveling, casino trips, and volunteering throughout the valley and beyond, where her kindness left an impact on everyone she met.
Tammara is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marissa (Driver) Spry, and son-in-law, Michael Spry; her cherished grandchildren, Julien Driver, Jaxson Spry, and Keira Spry. She is also survived by her father, Charles Robert Waddle, and his wife, Sandy, and their daughter Staci; her stepmother, Clara Shultz-Lepri; her sisters, Kim Nimons and Ginger-Marie Fern; her brother, Daniel Waddle (Veronica); and her niece, Amy Nimons-Pollock (Michael). Tammara's extended family includes many nieces and nephews, all of whom she held dear. She shared a heartfelt bond with Kimberly Sperry and her son, Jake, who both held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Lepri, her step-father, Henry Lepri, and her brothers, Glen, Richard (Amanda), and Dale Waddle.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to assist with final expenses.
Tammara's warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit will be profoundly missed, yet her memory will continue to light up the lives of all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to gather during calling hours on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton, CT. Her funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 4:45 p.m. All are welcome to join a celebration of her life which will follow at 5:30 p.m. at Miamogue Yacht Club, 144 Seaview Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
