Tara Colvin Obituary

COLVIN Tara Marie Virginia Colvin, a resident of Barre, Vt., died on Sunday, August 10, 2003, at Fletcher T. Allen Hospital in Burlington, Vt. She was born in Stamford on April 5, 1981. She was the daughter of James Colvin and Dorothy Turzer Palmenta. Her cause of death is still pending according to her family. She was 22 years old. Miss Colvin attended Barre City schools and was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 2001. After graduating, she worked at the Daddy O’s and GNC at the Berlin Mall. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, traveling and dancing. Miss Colvin is survived by her mother, Dorothy Turzer Palmenta of Barre; father, James Colvin of Bridgeport; one brother, James West of Cabot, Vt.; one sister, Christine Fordham of Plainfield, Vt.; maternal grandfather, Paul Turzer of Stamford, and paternal grandfather, Mac McLeod of Margate, Fla.; one aunt; three uncles; and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Ella Turzer and paternal grandmother, Virginia McLeod. There will be calling hours on Friday, August 15, 2003, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bosak Funeral Home, 9 Pulaski Street, Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16, 2003, at 10 a.m. at St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford. Interment will follow to St. John Roman Catholic Cemetery, Darien. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Bosak Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of one’s choice.
