When my Dad, Ken Stebbins, and I toured Carriage Green, assisted living in Milford, the first person we met was Terry Flood. He greeted us with a big grin and a hand shake. A wonderful friendship began between Terry and my Dad. They enjoyed the kidding, teasing and bantering. In other words they "clicked". My Dad's face would light up when he saw him. Her brightened his day and made him laugh. My Dad recently passed away on Mar. 4th at 101 yrs. old. Terry gave me his condolences with tears in his eyes, saying, "I really liked that guy". My sympathy to his family and friends. The priest at my Dad's funeral said, "THE BEST IS YET TO COME!"

My condolences to the entire Flood family on Terry's passing. I don't have to tell you that Terry was a HERO for running into that building to save those kid, you already knew that. Terry was a hero to you all way before and after that fire. I wasn't on the job yet when Terry did such a selfless heroic act at that fire. I had heard of him as all the guys would talk about him. Terry wanted to stay in touch with the guys so many times I would run into him at the Tip Toe. About 7-8 years later I stated coaching young Terry and Louis pop warner football. Terry would on occasion come to practice or a game and he would be so proud of his boys. Playing for the BPT PAL POP WARNER FOOTBALL meant a lot to Terry. I last saw Terry a year ago May at the Bridgeport Police & Firefieghters Retirement Assoc. he was Terry at his best. He had a big smile on his face, cracking jokes like only he can. He was happy to be back home with his fellow brothers in blue. So I know this is long but my friend you were a special person and were put on this earth to make a difference and you did. Those kids are alive today because of you. You were a cops cops and it was my honor knowing you and being able call you my friend. May God Grant Him Eternal Peace.

Dear Flood family,
I extend my deepest condolences in the passing your beloved Terry. The heroism Terry showed
when he rescued those two children in the burning bldg. back in 1973 was so amazing. He was truly a Hero and those children's Guardian Angel. Now he will reside with our Lord forever.
