Mrs. Robinson´s leadership, guidance and kindness helped encourage her students, families and staff. She was responsible for me receiving recognition with Bridgeport Public Education Fund´s teaching award as well as for many new pairs of shoes - we both loved DSW... my heartfelt condolences to all.

I am saddened to hear of Thelma's passing. I had the pleasure of teaching with Thelma at Dunbar School in the early 1990's. Thelma's passion for teaching was always evident, and she was clearly so dedicated & committed to her students. Thelma was such a special lady & a wonderful colleague; we shared many ideas & strategies, our trials & tribulations & some good laughs along the way. Thelma's mentorship of many new teachers had a positive & lasting impact. I am so sorry for the loss of your matriarch, may she rest easy in God's hands.

I wanted to take a moment to share my heartfelt thoughts about Mrs. Robinson who was the principal at McKinley Elementary School in Bridgeport. She was truly the best, a classy lady who believed in our dreams. Thanks to her, I had the incredible opportunity to start a dance program for the students, something I will always cherish. Her support meant the world to me, and I know many others feel the same way. As we reflect on her remarkable leadership, we will certainly miss, and she will always remain in our thoughts. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all the students and staff she inspired.
