Theodora Suchowacki Obituary

SUCHOWACKI Theodora Sucho wacki, age 88, of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Peter Sucho wacki, died April 17, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Ukraine on December 31, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Corohka Bubernak. Mrs. Suchowacki immigrated to the U.S. in 1959 and settled in Ansonia. She was a devout member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Ansonia where she sang in the choir and participated in many activities. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Anna Suchowacki-Franco and her husband, Angelo of Ansonia; a brother, Michael Bubernak and sister, Stefania Chomiak, both of Poland; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 27 years, she was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 20, 2012, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Panikhida at 6:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Preservation Fund. Dear Angelo and Anna: We were saddened to learn of the passing of Anna's mother and regret not being able to offer you our sympathies in person. Your mother was a wonderfully supportive parent to all of us as youths during our many family and church activities together. We hope you will find comfort in knowing that we, and many others, are thinking of and praying for not only her but also you during this time of grief....
