Thomas Hogan Obituary
Thomas F. Hogan, Jr., age 69, of Southport, beloved husband of Deborah (Debi) Ross Hogan, passed away from a fall on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Thomas and Ethel (Wessell) Hogan, he had been a lifelong resident. Tom graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School where he played varsity baseball from sophomore year, and Keene State University. He was a lifelong NY Giants fan. Tom was a proud founding member of several sports social groups including Monday night Paddle, Saturday Sylvan Tennis and the FBC Interclub "D" team. In addition to his loving wife, Debi, Tom will be sadly missed by his beloved in-laws, Charles and Yvonne Ross of Southport, Charles Ross and his wife Lynn of Wisconsin and their children, Julie Ross and her partner Glenn Zuklie, Stephanie and Jennifer Maresh, Amaya and Jordan, and Dawn Ross Olson and her children, Zachary and his wife Sarah and Haley Olson. He was predeceased by his brother, James Hogan and a nephew, Daniel Ross. Friends may greet the family to celebrate Tom's life on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. This news makes me so sad. Tom "Tommy" was around my brother Bobby's age (BoB Connnelly 1970). But I mostly remember him because he frequented our playground in the 60's when he was just in junior high, Al and I had the playground with mostly pre teens and he was one of them. It was a very unique summer. We also took a field trip to the Bronx Zoo. I remember some of the names of the kids. But Tommy stands out. He recently wrote to me on classmates and asked if I remembered him. I am so sad for his family and offer my sincere condolences.

My deepest sympathy to the Hogan family. He was a part of our Oldfield School gang approximately 50 yrs ago. Even back then he was well liked and had a great sense of humor that was accompanied by a contagious laugh. He was the crush of many young girls and a good buddy to all the guys. We all have very fond memories of Tom. May he Rest In Peace.

Tom and I were friends for 40+ years starting in 1979 living next to each other on the beach in Fairfield, to me auditing Tom at Louis Dreyfus, to working at ICD, Investment Services Corp to finally at Icon. Tom and I enjoyed a long and amazing friendship. He was the best ! So kind, nice, witty, smart, reliable, conscientious, team oriented, Tom was always there. Tom was a wonderful friend to me and I hope that I gave him 10 percent of what he gave me. He was always such a good friend me and Evelyn always looking out for us. We had so many great and fun times. I miss him terribly. I wish I knew what else to say. Debbi I am so sorry for your loss if there is anything Evelyn or I can do please let us know.
