Thomas Pechillo Sr.
May 1, 2025
Thomas Pechillo Sr., 84, of Stratford, passed to our Lord on May 1, 2025. Tom was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia (Pat) Pechillo, as well as his parents, Henry and Lucille Pechillo, and his brother, Arthur Pechillo. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Reynolds (Pechillo) and Sean Reynolds of Stratford; his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Pechillo Jr. and Tracey Pechillo of Southington; his son, Adam Kilpatrick of Hoboken, NJ; his sister, Marilyn Pechillo, SND, of Windsor; his niece, Pamela Rice of Windsor, VT; his cousin-in-law, Helen Lucas of Fairfield; and his sister-in-law, Gail Lyman of Mayport, PA. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, whom he referred to as his "kiddies," which were a particular source of joy and pride for him: Meghan, Jessica, Matthew and Aidan Reynolds; and Alexandra and Robert Pechillo. He was a devout Catholic and enjoyed serving our Lord by ushering at Masses.Tom grew up in Baltimore, MD and moved to Connecticut with his family in his teens. He was a dedicated 45-year electrical technician at Sikorsky Aircraft and took great pride in his work there, as well as in his handyman projects around the house. He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed riding his bicycle around town and beyond, swimming at the YMCA, in both Milford and Stratford, and especially visiting Lake Quassapaug in Middlebury on a daily basis during the Summer, which he referred to as "Lake Season." He also enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music and loved dancing to country and oldies with Pat. Tom will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Father Peter Adamski, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. by meeting directly in Saint James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. Interment will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with his family Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the William R. Always smiled at each other putting my donation in his basket. So sad to hear I won´t see him on our Saturday Night Mass again. Thanks so much for service Tom. Debra and I will miss you.

I will miss seeing Tom at mass every Saturday afternoon, and I´ve had the pleasure of ushering with him for a number of years. Every Saturday we would catch up on what either of us was up to in the prior week. My deepest sympathies to his family. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I saw him at the YMCA just last week. I saw him there from time to time. Always a nice person who had the time for a quick conversation. Nice man, RIP
