Thomas Serke Obituary
Thomas Edward Serke died peacefully on September 17, 2017, in Camden, SC, at the age of 55 after a long illness. Tom was devotedly cared for by his soul mate and best friend Beth Hodge.
He was predeceased by his father Stephen Serke. Tom is survived by his mother Edith Serke; his siblings Annette Starkey and Terry, Robert and his wife Karen, Susan Bettencourt and Kenneth and his wife Nancy.
Born in Bridgeport, Tom grew up in Monroe, graduated from Masuk High School and had been living in South Carolina for the last 17 years.
Those whose lives were touched by Tom know that he lived life to the fullest, and that is how we should all remember him. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Details will be shared with family and friends.
As an animal lover, Tom was involved in "Trans Paw Tation," a charity for the rescue and transport of at risk dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to [email protected] via Paypal toward "Trans Paw Tation" in his memory or to gofundme.com/in-memory-of-tom-serke to support Beth during this difficult time.
