Tyler W. Holloway

HOLLOWAY Tyler W. Holloway, age 43, of Stratford, loving husband and best friend of Maria G. Ferrera, died suddenly in a tragic accident on July 9, 2006. Born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., he was raised in Somers, N.Y., where he enjoyed growing up in a rural area and even owned a goat. He was a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill and The University of Maine. Tyler was a sales representative for Harvey Industries, Waltham, Mass., and gave his customers superior customer service. He enjoyed traveling, reading a good book and carpentry work. His flower and vegetable gardens are a sight to behold. Tyler was a foodie and loved to cook special dinners as well as enjoy them. He was a supporter of the Stratford Library and volunteered his time as a school mentor. Tyler will be missed by his two dogs, Puccini and Mimi. He was predeceased by his father, Robert E. Holloway and leaves behind his loving mother, Sondra Youner Holloway of Somers, N.Y.; four sisters, Robin Holloway of Somers, N.Y., Diane Haug and her husband, Gary, of Ridgefield, Christine Barnett and her husband, Donald, of Yonkers, N.Y., Melissa Gordon and her husband, Jeff , of Pomona, N.Y.; six loving nephews, Brett and Brandon Haug, Jeffrey, Kyle and Michael Barnett and Jack Deyo; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Josephine and George Ferrera of Trumbull; brothers-in-law, George Ferrera of Trumbull, and Peter Deyo and his wife, Kathy, of Northford; as well as his cousins and many friends that loved and adored him. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at Congregation BPNai Israel, 2710 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
