Vincent Lozinak Obituary

Lozinak, Vincent N.
Vincent N. Lozinak, age 89, of Easton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at St. Vincent's Hospital. Vincent was born April 28, 1926 in Hartford, son of Nicholas and Beatrice (Smith) Lozinak. A fierce patriot, Vincent served in both the US Navy and Army Air Corp during WWII. He was employed by the Bridgeport Fire Department for over 25 years and also worked for William B. Meyers as a rigging foreman for a decade until his retirement. Companies familiar with his work often asked for him by name because of his careful, methodical consideration and impeccable safety record. Vincent enjoyed salt water fishing, gardening, as well as trips to Cape Cod, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. A lifelong fitness enthusiast, he enjoyed power lifting well into his eighties. He was a passionate New York Giants football fan and could be heard rather loudly when games went awry. A product of the Depression, he never saw a piece of machinery he deemed worthless. Vincent was intensely proud of his family and he will be greatly missed. In addition to Maryann (Bruchac) Lozinak, his wife of 65 years, survivors include six sons and one daughter: Vincent J. Lozinak of West Haven, Wayne Lozinak of Easton, Victor Lozinak of Milford, Richard and Melinda Lozinak of Newtown, Steven and Jane Lozinak of Fairfield, Michael and Dia Lozinak of Fairfield and Marilyn (Lozinak) Wolf and her husband Edward of Derby. Vincent is also survived by six grandchildren: Wayne Lozinak of Bridgeport, Emily and Nick Lozinak of Fairfield, Robert and William Wolf of Derby and Dillon Lozinak of Newtown. Vincent was predeceased by his brother David. As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
