Vincenza Sperduti Cinelli
Vincenza Sperduti Cinelli, age 88, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Mozaic Senior Life. She was the beloved wife of the late Carlo A. Cinelli. Born in Broccostella, Province of Frosinone, Italy, on July 20, 1937, she was a daughter of Giovanni and Giuseppa (Vani) Sperduti and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.
The second youngest child of a large Italian family, Vincenza emigrated to the United States in September of 1969 and became a United States citizen on June 20, 1975. A passionate cook, especially when it came to her homemade pasta, she was known for creating delicious meals, always making sure that no one left the table hungry. In addition to her culinary talents, Vincenza had a green thumb that could make any garden bloom. Whether it was vibrant flowers or rows of fresh vegetables, she found fulfillment in tending to her garden. Her backyard was her sanctuary, a reflection of her nurturing spirit, where each plant was cared for as if it were a member of the family.
Vincenza also had a special place in her heart for children. For many years, she worked as a nanny, giving her time and love to multiple families. Her nurturing and compassionate nature made her a second mother to many, and she played a vital role in shaping the lives of the children she cared for.
Survivors include a son, Johncarlo Robert Cinelli and his wife, Jenna, of Trumbull, two beloved grandsons, Joseph Lowell Cinelli and Thomas James Cinelli, a daughter, Maryann Cinelli of MA, as well as many nieces and nephews in the United States and abroad.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611.
