Walter Bendik Obituary
Walter John Bendik, 89, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025. He was born in Bridgeport to Frank and Mary Bendik.
Walter is survived by his sister Evelyn Boehm and sister-in-law LouAnn Bendik. In addition, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother and best friend, Donald Bendik. Walter joined the Air Force in 1954 for several years. He received his BS in Business Administration from Quinnipiac University. Walter worked for Nestle Foods for most of his career and Sacred Heart Greenwich until his retirement. He loved to travel and meet people along the way, and most of all meeting up with friends for breakfast at Panera every morning except Sundays when he went to the Galaxy Diner. He was a very giving person and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private burial will take place in the spring at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.

Walter was a classmate, "Bassick 1954". He always had a smile and will always be remembered. We kept in touch now and then, it was always nice to talk to and old friend.

I worked with Walter for many years at Sacred Heart. Walter worked hard for our school. He had a big heart and was quick to laugh. Walter was generous of spirit, always willing to help out others. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
