Walter Hrabstock Obituary
Walter "Wally" Hrabstock, 77, originally from Stratford, passed away at home in Crossville, Tennessee on Monday, August 29, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
His wife Kerry (Kohanowski), was by his side and New York Yankees highlights were playing on TV.
He was born in Bridgeport on August 24, 1945 to Nicholas and Barbara (Krucklin) Hrabstock.
A graduate of Stratford High School and Sacred Heart University, Wally was a scholar athlete who excelled in baseball and basketball. After college, he transitioned to softball and golf. He was a life-long Yankees fan and enjoyed UCONN women's basketball. An 18-year retirement in Florida was filled with spring training games, college hoops and golf adventures, as well as dog beach vacations.
Wally spent most of his professional life in banking with CityTrust, Connecticut Savings Bank and Northeast Mortgage.
Besides his wife of 25 years, Wally leaves his son Ryan. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Scott.

Sorry to read of Wally´s passing. Knew from from our days in the hood and on athletic venues. A hard nosed, under rated athlete and back in the days dt SHU a study buddy. May God bring you peace.
