Joseph, Werner L.
Werner "Bill" Leopold Joseph died peacefully September 11, 2015 in Manchester, CT, aged 91 years. He was born in Albisheim, Germany to Simson and Hedwig Joseph. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Flora Joseph. He is also survived by his two daughters Nadine Vantine-Kelley and her husband Jay Kelley of Stoughton, MA and Madelyn Lankton and her husband Stephen Lankton of Glastonbury, CT. Bill is also greatly missed by his precious grandchildren, Eric Lankton, Benjamin Lankton and Chelsea Vantine-Kelley. Bill came to the United States in 1938 at the age of 13 and later served in the US Navy in the later years of World War II. After working as a machinist and then for Nyden's Department Store in Bridgeport, Bill became an insurance agent for Prudential. After retiring in 1985, he and Flora enjoyed many years of travel and enjoyment with grandchildren. Also survived by Bill is his sister Lisa Weiss, sister-in-law Anne Hornstein and many nieces and nephews. Services will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 9:00 AM DIRECTLY at Loyalty Cemetery, Burroughs Road, Fairfield.
