William Deignan Dehler Jr., age 58, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025. He was husband of Ingrid Peterson Dehler, and the father of Charlie and Harry Dehler. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, at 11:00a.m., in Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Road, Fairfield. Friends may call Friday, May 30, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and 4 Gorham Place, Trumbull. For more information, please visit www.redgatehennessy.com .

I only had the opportunity to meet William a handful of times, usually during pick-up for his son Charlie. In those brief encounters, I witnessed a kind, genuine man - a devoted father and a loving husband. Though I didn´t know him as closely as others who will mourn and honor him, I truly felt the depth of his spirit. There was something about his presence that touched my heart - a warmth, a strength, a light.
I prayed for him. I cried for him. And even with the limited moments we shared, there is a space in my mind and heart that Will will now occupy.
Rest peacefully, William. You are deeply loved, and I trust that God will take care of the rest.
