I’d like to send condolences to family & friends. I remember Mr. Gatto growing up as such a nice genuine gentle man. He was also on the force with my grandfather Special Police Officer Joseph Iurato. I also remember that they both shared many Korean War stories.. Prayers are with everyone who knew Mr. Gatto..

My deepest sympathies to the Gatto family. It was a pleasure working alongside Bill at the PD. He was always willing to work when I called, and always had a smile. Rest in Peace Bill.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Diane and her family, as well as my cousins, Vicky, Lorraine and Cynthia and family. One of my earliest memories of Uncle Bill was a New Years Eve when they came to visit and they slept over, which was a treat. I must have been maybe 5 or 6, and it was time for bed and Lorraine and I slept in the same bed, and we noticed a spark or some sort of a light coming out of the ceiling fixture. I remember Uncle Bill came upstairs to fix it for us. My Grandparents lived downstairs and I lived upstairs with my parents and brothers. It could have been a short in the fixture. But I will always remember that he fixed it. My other memories are when they came to visit from Connecticut. At that time Connecticut could have been overseas to me since it was so far, but when they drove to Grandma's house in their red car, it was a special day. There are many memories that I cherish, and I will miss my Uncle Bill.
