William "Bo" Hyatt
William Edward Hyatt, known to his friends and family as "Bo", 68, of Milford, passed away on July 1, 2022. Born on January 26, 1954 he was the son of the late Harry and Jean Hyatt.
Bo was a Milford resident his whole life. He was a Milford Fireman for over 30 years and retired as a Battalion Chief. He was very involved with the city of Milford even after retirement. Whether it was dispatching, boating, volunteering with retired colleagues, or having his scanner on 24/7, his love for the city of Milford, and especially the people, was strong.
Bo loved NASCAR, traveling, and spending time with family and loved ones; especially his granddaughters Kayla and Reylynn. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Blaze, to the point everyone in the center of town knew them as a pair together. He enjoyed cruising to Fort Trumbull Beach and loved the calmness of the water and the views of Charles Island.
Bo is survived by his daughter Jennifer and his son-in-law Ryan, along with his two granddaughters, Kayla and Reylynn. He is also survived by Donna Hyatt, Jennifer's mother; brother Jack and wife Carol Hyatt, brother Tim and wife Dawn Hyatt, brother Bobby and wife Sandy Hyatt and sister Mary and husband Sam B; longtime companion Susan Holms, along with many cousins. "UB" is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
"You have two choices in life, you can choose to laugh or choose to cry; I choose to laugh"-Dad, Bo, Pop, UB, friend, you will be missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf Street, Milford. MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH. The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations in memory of Bo to the Hundred Club of Connecticut, 119 Oakwood Drive, Glastonbury, CT.
