William Krahe Obituary

William "Will" Krahe
William "Will" Krahe, age 38, of Trumbull, CT, passed away July 3, 2024. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to William and Eileen Krahe. Will grew up in Fairfield, CT and graduated from Fairfield High School. While in high school, Will received the prestigious Lieutenant Governor's award, for his work with special needs peers. He graduated from Southern CT University with a bachelor of arts degree (magna cum laude), a bachelor of science degree (magna cum laude) and a master's degree in clinical social work. He was a licensed clinical social worker. Will spent the majority of his professional career working at Cornell Scott Hill Health Corporation, serving as an Assistant Program Director.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life, beloved wife of 12 years, Ludmila Rodrigues, cherished son, Lucas, his brothers, Michael Krahe and his wife Holly and Joseph Krahe and his wife Clare Bennett, his sister, Catherine Schlegel and her husband Adam, his father-in-law, Amaro Ferreira, his sisters-in-law, Patricia De Paula and her husband Roginaldo and Debora Riordan and her husband Timothy, and his loving nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Madeline, Jack, Benjamin and Piper. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Fatima Rodrigues.
Will was a devoted family man, always energized to find wonderful and creative ways to have fun together, from regularly wearing matching outfits with his son to road tripping to Nashville. Whether throwing a football around in the freezing cold or fostering a love of soccer, Will loved playing sports with his son, who converted him to be a Phillies fan. Will referred to his son, Lucas, as his sunshine, and he absolutely was. They had an amazing father-son bond that will live on forever. Will loved being outside, grilling Picanha, roasting s'mores, hosting parties in the backyard, and camping. Will found joy and purpose in tirelessly helping others, more than once literally giving away the jacket off his back. He was always the first person to call on birthdays, sometimes leaving a singing voicemail with his family, and his gentle kindness inspired the people around him. He was a phenomenal husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be infinitely missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. directly at Black Rock Congregational Church, 3685 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT. Interment will be private.
Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT

It's been a year. I still keep the email that he sent me the day he died. Will changed my life in ways that I could never put into words, except for poetry. I know he liked my poetry and I will put it in a poem when I can. I still can't yet even though it's been a year. Hopefully I'll be able to do it, but I really miss him.

Our first memory and forever memory of Will is the day we met him. We had just finished moving in and our entire family had come over to visit. We were all sitting on the front steps & trying to take a group picture. All of a sudden we hear a voice yell out, "I'll take the picture for you!" It was Will running across the street and he did. That was Will, always a smile on his face & so eager to help always. That beautiful picture sits in our living room. It's a picture that holds a special place in our hearts of our new home, our family and our wonderful neighbor. Beautiful memories we will cherish always! Thank you Will for always being you. We will miss you dearly. Sending love and prayers to Mila, Lucas and the entire family.

I meant will in high school. He was such a great friend. He always made me smile and made me laugh. His whole graduating class of '04 is going to miss him terribly and to his wife and son that I had never had the opportunity to meet. I'm so sorry for your loss. Wanted you to know my prayers and thoughts are with both of you and Will's family as well today.

May the embrace of God´s love bring you peace during this devastating time. I knew Will as Cat´s brother. He was an amazing, supportive, and devoted brother to her. She was blessed to have him! She always spoke so admiringly of Will. Though I only met him a few times, I know the impact he had on his friends and family will last forever. He will never be forgotten and the love he sowed in this world will live on.

Will was always there to be an excellent neighbor to my mom, Marie Dion. He would take in her mail and he and Lucas would help shovel the steps in the winter. Will was a kind and giving person and must have been called home as he was an Angel on earth. My condolences to his wife and son.
