William Lee Obituary

William D. "Bill" Lee
William D. "Bill" Lee, 80. of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Marie Romanchick Lee. Bill was born August 10, 1945 to the late Leonard J. Sr. and Edith Lovanio Lee.
Bill was a skilled mason, who always made sure a job was done "just right" before he was happy with it. In his free time he enjoyed Bowling, playing cards, a trip to the casino and golf. His greatest joys came in the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by his children and their spouses; Billy and Krista, Brody and Kim, and Dana and Jason Nash, as well as his step-daughter Annmarie Fetcho and her husband Joseph. Bill was the proud grandfather of Kemrie, Taylor, Madison, J.J., Karsten, Avery, J.D., and Raeann. He was blessed with 4 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers, Hank and his wife Lory, and Leonard and his partner Barbara, as well as his sisters-in-law Roseann Cuff and her husband Steve, and Denise Fuller. He also leaves countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepson Vinny Maczko, and brother-in-law Bob Fuller.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 300 North Benson Road, Fairfield, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation.

Billy and I grew up together on Remington Street. Dear Edith and Len were best friends with my parents and my adopted Auntie and Unckie. We shared lots of good times at their cabin at "the lake" and picnics at Lake Quassapaug.
Since Billy was closest to my age, we were good friends. My deepest sympathies to Lenny and Henry. You had a special brother. Although many miles and years separate us, I think of the Lee family often. You will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow.

To Marie, Henry and Lenny and Billy´s children and grand children,
I was so saddened to hear of Billy´s passing. So many memories came to mind, especially those of our formative years. I will always remember that beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Rest in peace Bill and to your family, may you find comfort and joy in happy memories. Cousin Janet

Hi Bill, we have known each other for many, many years. I was very saddened to hear of your passing, but I know that you won't be in pain any longer. I spoke with Marie a few days ago and she asked me if I wanted the suspenders back, then she chuckled. I told her to keep them, so that every time she looks at them it will put a smile on her face. I will always be an extra set of eyes, for your children and their families, no matter how old they get. Love, Lauren
