William Roma Obituary
William L. Roma, of Trumbull, aged 84, passed peacefully from this life Sunday, February 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after a long llness. Bill, called Boppy by everyone who loved him, was a dedicated family man who always said that his family was his greatest achievement. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in nature, especially in his beloved Maine. He was a veteran, an entrepreneur, fly fisherman, and gardener. He loved reading and always wanted to learn. He always had a pet at his side. Bill is survived by the love of his life Ann M. DeMarco Roma. He will be missed greatly by his four children and nine grandchildren, Cynthia Roma-Daston and Robert Daston and their daughters, Ashley and Lauren, Diane Faiella and Ted Faiella and their sons, Ted, Tim, and Michael, Barbara Swift and Tom Swift and their children, Tom and Emily, William C. Roma and Sharon Roma and their daughters, Stephanie and Samantha. He will also be missed by his sister, Jane, brother, Dennis and his children, T.J. and Kelly and brother in laws, Lenard Polis and Robert DeMarco and wife Diane and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brothers, Donald and Thomas. Interment will be private. His family would like to thank everyone for their loving support and prayers over this difficult time. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date. In his memory the family requests that everyone cherish their time with loved ones. Dear Ann and Family, we are so sorry to hear of Boppy's passing. Although it's been many years since Mom and I had the pleasure of his company, TJ and Kelly have kept us up to speed on how things were going - and we know it has been very difficult for all. We have wonderful memories of a simply wonderful man - kind, loving, caring, quiet gentleman in every good way possible. My best memory is Good Friday fish fry...he was an awesome cook and host!
