Zoltan Sabo Obituary

SABO Zoltan "Zoli" A. Sabo, age 85, of Shelton, died on Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Hewitt Memorial Hospital, Shelton. He was the husband of Catherine Repka Sabo. Mr. Sabo was the retired and widely known owner of Sabo Auto Body of Seymour which he opened at its present location in 1947 and was a former past president of Bridgeport Auto Body Association. He was born in Derby, on February 16, 1920, son of the late Andrew and Mary Petkovics Sabo, and was a lifelong resident of Shelton, also a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church, of Shelton. Besides his wife, his is survived by his daughter, Sharon Mocki and her husband, Joe, of Oxford; three grandchildren, Michele Mocki, Melissa Mulready and Jennifer Mocki; two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Joey. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Avenue, Shelton, and at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, followed by burial at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery, Derby. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Mary Church Fund through the funeral home.

I knew the Sabo's many years ago when I worked at the diner that used to be next door [owned by Jimmy & Doris] to the body shop. Mr. Sabo was a very nice, kind man. My sympathy his all of his family.
