Arlene J. Roberts
February 17, 1936-October 12, 2023
CARLISLE - Surrounded by family and friends, Arlene J. Roberts, age 87, peacefully passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community in Carlisle, PA where she and her husband, Joseph H. Roberts (deceased), resided for almost 25 years.
She is survived by her four dear children and their spouses who she held close to her heart: Carol Roberts Wright (husband, Randy), Karen A. Torres (husband, Rick), David P. Roberts (wife, Annie), and Todd A. Roberts. Arlene is also survived by her sister, Polly Gainer.
Arlene started life as a farmer's daughter and then spent a lifetime as a devoted wife to Joseph and wonderful mother to her four children. Later, she had a wonderful career as Assistant Manager at Delicious Orchards, a country food market located in Colts Neck, NJ, where she cultivated lasting friendships. While retired in Carlisle, she developed loving relationships with so many special friends who have now become our extended family.
Our mother is now with the Lord and will always be remembered and honored as someone who loved to be with family and friends, cherished nature, always wore a brooch on her sweaters, and always had a hand-written note to say thank you.
