Barbara E. (Chestnut) Bouder, 68, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at UPMC Carlisle. She was born on May 18, 1954, in Carlisle and is a daughter of Dolores (Beam) Chestnut Lehman of Carlisle and the late Henry Chestnut. She was the widow of Clarence E. "Butch" Bouder, Jr. who died on March 27, 2008.
Barbara graduated from Big Spring High School in 1972, attended Messiah College and graduated from Wilson College with an Associate degree in accounting. She worked 20 years with Stanley Manufacturing in Chambersburg and was currently employed at Karns Food in Boiling Springs. Barbara attended and studied ballet at the Central PA Youth Ballet in Carlisle.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son SFC (Ret) Joshua M. (Teresa) Bolles, US Army of Frankford, DE, one daughter Amanda E. (Brian) Alexander-Mixell of Carlisle, one sister Janelle (James) Eurich of Dillsburg, six grandchildren, one great-grandson, one sister-in-law Julia Chestnut of Newville and one nephew Stephen (Amanda) Chestnut of Newville. She was preceded in death by one brother Stephen Chestnut.
Private funeral services will be at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle with Rev. Janice Bye as the officiant. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Visit www.EwingBrothers.com to send condolences.
