Barbara Killian Obituary
March 20, 1951 - February 25, 2025
Barbara J. Killian, age 73, of Newburg, passed away February 25, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1951, in Chambersburg, to the late Robert and Patricia (Kelly-Hancock) Adams.
Barbara worked in custodial care at Chambersburg Hospital. Some of her favorite hobbies were cooking, baking and tending to her gardens, whether flower or vegetable. She enjoyed nature and walking in the mountain, where she lived for 49 years with her husband, Ed, but most of all, she loved taking care of her family, grandchildren and Siamese cat, Logan.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, H. Edwin Killian of Newburg; daughters, Stephanie D. Nelson and husband, Douglas of Shippensburg and Karen B. Killian of Newburg; grandchildren, Tyler S. Killian and wife, Maegan of Carlisle and Kaitlyn R. Killian of Carlisle; great-grandchildren, Darren A. Killian and Destiny W. Killian; brother, Timothy Adams of Shippensburg and her precious cat, Logan. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Darren W. Killian and brother, Robert Adams.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. At Barbara's request, there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 51 W. Main Street, Newville, PA 17241. Pastor Michael Faust will officiate the service.
