CARLISLE - Charles R.A. Leeds of Carlisle, PA, passed away on May 31, 2024. Charlie was born on Saturday April 4, 1936, to the late Charles F.A. and the late Dorothy R. (Markle) Leeds. Charlie was a member of Saint Matthew's United Church of Christ. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was very active in the community and was involved in many organizations which included the Carlisle Fish and Game, Penn Township Fire Department, Amp Nimrods, Masonic Lodge #260, the NRA, the Rocky Mount Elk Foundation and the Cumberland Valley Sportsman Association. He retired from Tyco electronics. After his retirement he worked part time at Hoffman Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Marcia J. (Hurley) Leeds and their two children: daughter, Karen (husband Jay) Crane and son Charles D. (wife Michelle) Leeds, three granddaughters: Brenna Leeds, Summer Leeds and Cassandra Epstein, a brother Fred (wife Carol) Leeds and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday June 10, 2024, at St. Matthews United Church of Christ 3240 Spring Road Carlisle, PA., 17013. A viewing will be held on Sunday June 9, 2024, from 3:00-5:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation 2020 W. Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17015 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Tim Dugan will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's honor to St. Matthews United Church of Christ. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hoffmanfh.com.
