Clark Bear Obituary

Clark E. Bear, 64, of Village Lane, Newville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 23, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle.

Born on Aug. 16, 1942, in Bloserville, he was a son of the late Clark S. and Minnie (Chronister) Bear.

Clark was a retired employee of Amp Inc. with 35 years of service as a machinist. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He attended services at Salem Stone United Church of Christ in Carlisle.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Bette (Rhoads) Bear of Newville; two sons, Kevin C. (and his wife Jodie) Bear of Newville and Keith E. (and his wife, Carri) Bear of Carlisle; a brother, Sylvester S. (and his wife, Debra) Bear of Bloserville; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Stephen Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, with military honors conducted by Cumberland County Honor Guard. A viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge of Central Pennsylvania, 125 Lucy Ave., Hummelstown, PA 17036.

May God bless you in this time of loss. Nicki and I hurt with you. Clark was a wonderful man and I truly enjoyed his company. I will miss him, but I am encouraged to know that we will all see him again somebody.
