David Mislyan Obituary
SHERMANS DALE-David E. "Honky/Moose" Mislyan, 54, of Shermans Dale passed away early Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016 at his home.
He was born February 16, 1962 in Harrisburg to Olive V. (Miller) Mislyan of Shermans Dale and the late Joseph R. Mislyan, Jr.
He was a longtime self employed owner of Moose Masonry and was presently employed at ABF, Carlisle. He was a 1980 graduate at West Perry High School.
He was a member of the Kettle Creek Sportsmans Association, Galeton; Newport Social Order of Owls; VFW Post 7463, New Bloomfield; American Legion Post 364, Liverpool; Loyal Order of Moose 925, Millerstown; Carlisle Aerie 1299, White Circle and Carlisle Amvets 274, all of Carlisle; Hunters Valley Sportsmans Association; Middletown Anglers & Hunters and Little Juniata Park Association, New Bloomfield.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Potter County where he took a 659 pound bear.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Tammy J. (Smith) Mislyan, a daughter, Ashley N. Mislyan of Duncannon, four siblings, Joseph R. Mislyan III, Linda Webster, Diane Everitt, Susan Mislyan, a step grandson, Jacob Miller and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation to celebrate Honky's life will be held from 10:00 AM to Noon on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, Pa. 17047. Fellowship with everyone invited will follow at the New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463 fellowship hall in New Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribtions may be made to Kettle Creek Sportsmans Association, 1239 Germania Road, Galeton, Pa. 16922.
